Welcome for New Energy Saving Plan

As we have noted before, much of the legacy housing stock on these islands is not fitted with optimum insulation. The outcome is inevitably greater spending on fuel, and conversely, for many less well off households, fuel poverty is a real concern.
The Chancellor’s plans involve improving insulation in public buildings, schools, and hospitals and retro-fitting low-carbon heating technology in social housing.
The extra money for “decarbonising” houses, which also includes vouchers of up to £5,000 for energy-saving home improvements, aims to create thousands of new jobs while helping the UK meet its 2050 target of achieving zero carbon emissions.
We welcome this news, and here at Enviroform, we look forward to playing our part in helping households become better insulated and enable them to save money on fuel, a portion of which homeowners and tenants are wasting through poor insulation.
